Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) – Level 1
Our MMA program Level 1 will teach you the basic techniques of MMA. Broken down into two specific classes, twice a week the emphasis will be on improving your striking(Muay Thai)and the other two days will be ground work (no gi). MMA is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of striking and grappling techniques, both standing and on the ground, including Boxing, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thaï, and Judo. The goal of MMA is to defeat your opponent by submission, decision, TKO, or referee stoppage.
Nation Strength and Conditioning Program
This program is a form of exercise in which you alternate between very intense anaerobic periods and slower recovery periods for a shorter, more efficient workout. “The high intensity intervals should be performed at near maximum effort and the recovery intervals should be done at about 50%. For example a beginner would start with 5 sets of 4 x (10 sec high intensity + 30 sec moderate intensity) with 2 minutes of rest between each set, to gradually evolve into 3 sets of 10 x (20 sec of high intensity + 20 sec of moderate intensity) with 1 minute of rest between sets.
