Press Release - MMA team giant, Tristar, opens a training facility in the Ottawa/Gatineau region. With UFC champions Georges St-Pierre and Jon Jones among the team, Tristar boasts world class training.
The region’s highly regarded Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team, Evolution BJJ, will house the new Tristar team at the Evolution training facility located at 74 Greber Blvd in Gatineau.
“I look forward to working with our new Tristar team in Gatineau and to helping develop a world class MMA training experience,” Says Tristar Head Coach, Firas Zahabi.
Zahabi’s face is a recognizable one. Seen in the corner of the UFC’s best fighters, Zahabi creates UFC champions.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is the world’s fastest growing sport. Without argument, a key ingredient to the mix is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ).
Prof. Dan Guillemette, BJJ Black Belt and Evolution BJJ Head Coach, trains top competitors in the area.
“I’m proud to be bringing the highest level of MMA training to this region,” Says Guillemette.
The Capital region is becoming a stable for up and coming MMA fighters. Serious competitors now have topnotch BJJ and MMA training at Centre Evolution/Tristar Gym. Paired with opportunity to compete in local amateur MMA promotion, Hybrid Combat, the platform is set to launch UFC aspirations.
Fight fans can be proud of their own hometown heroes, or experience real training for themselves.
